Just weeks until James and Charlotte’s wedding
The count down is really on. We have had a meeting with Lorraine from Ufford Park and put all the final details in place such as the seating plan.
It was so lovely to meet with her and talk about the running of the day, which is not so close. Ufford Park is such a lovely place and I really hope the weather is good. I can see the photos being fantastic. She was telling us the best places for photos and what to expect on our big day.
I started to make big lists of jobs to do (in between working and exercise) and the list seems huge! It’s just all the little things – the order of service and who’s taking who to the church. I also have a few little surprises for James on the big day.
We had a meeting with the lady from Claudia’s Cupcakes last week and wow what an amazing lady. She was so full of ideas and knew just what I was looking for. She had the right colour that matched our theme but there was so much choice. They will be fantastic wedding favours.
I think I am now starting to get a bit ‘Bridezilla’. It seems to be snowballign and I am so lucky to have wonderful friends Debbie, Allison and Clair. They are keeping me sane and have all taken on little jobs in the run up to our big day. Since the article in the paper (Saturday March 12) so many people keep talking tm me and it’s so overwhelming. I still can’t believe it’s all so soon and we won such an amazing competition. But, on a soppy note, I can’t wait to marry James!
My list of jobs is still growing such as shoes, underwear and gifts. But if I’m honest I am counting down to my hen weekend. I am starting to get really excited and it’s only a week to go! The girls are getting ready adn I know it’s going to be a fantastic weekend. I’m slightly worried about what they have lpanned.
It feels like such a long time since the wedding fair at Ufford Park and now it’s all so close! I met with the lady from ITV last week adn she went through what they might like to cover, which was very exciting! But I won’t say too much just yet.
I had a lovely coffee with my future in-laws as well, putting together plans and who’s doing what ad when – they are very excited.
This week the bridesmaid got their dresses and they look lovely. They just need shoes and bags but the colours are amazing and just what I wanted.
We spoke to Natalie from Lemon Pie Design and she has now started work on the table plans, name cards and order of service. James has been putting all that together and it looks fantastic. Natalie is also doing table names. James has asked for all the tables to be named after tractors- he really wanted a farming theme to the wedding. I’m not sure how purple and orange will go with tractors but, hey, it will be fun!
James has been organising his transport to the church and, yes, it’s a tractor. I also think he is going to put ribbons on it. The farming side is really important to james so I hope it will all come together.
I had an email from Claire at Silk Rose. My wedding dress will be here on Tuesday! I am so excited. I will have the final fitting in two weeks. Claire is also doing the matron of honour dress so we are both excited to see them. The dress is really the last major thing for me to do.
We have had the confirmation from our evening disco and Jean from Amazing Cakes, the horse and carriage is booked. We just really need the weather to be nice.
I can’t imagine how Kate and William are feeling. I am a totally nervous bride and everything I see about them on TV reminds me of how close our wedding is. And yes, I hear Kate is trying to put weight on. However my time is spent at the gym or running and evening spinning classes now. I have asked Steph the instructor to push on me and remind me about my wedding dress.
It’s really wierd seeing all the press about the Royal wedding as it’s the same day as ours. It’s rather exciting really.
It’s now Thursday and the hen weekend is just one day away. Now it’s feeling really real. It’s five weeks to go! I am very sure it will be an eventful weekend!
