MIA Sposa, the UK’s largest high-street network of bridal and men’s formal wear stores, has seen a 15% increase in enquiries from brides-to-be since the date of the royal wedding was announced.

A spokesperson for Mia Sposa said: “Lots of brides have decided that they want to get married in April after hearing about Kate and William and are worried that they won’t have enough time to get their dresses organised. The Royal wedding is great news for us – we are predicting a very busy spring.”

Mia Sposa, which has 18 stores across England and Wales, is urging anyone thinking of tying the knot in April to order their dress as soon as possible as there is normally a six month lead-in time. The company expects Kate Middleton’s dress to set new trends, just as Princess Diana’s dress sparked a demand for long trains.

Mia Sposa is a new British brand being which has just been launched. The company uses contemporary designers who have created beautiful gowns and menswear designed for the UK market. In direct response to customer feedback, Mia Sposa has commissioned and launched its own exclusive bridalwear collection called CocoCouture. It is the only high-street retailer to offer bespoke bridalwear, without the couture pricetag, which allows brides to choose gowns in different combinations of design, colour, fabric or beading.

There is also a bridesmaids’ collection for the first time, CocoBridesmaids, which is now arriving in stores.

Peter Griggs, spokesperson for Mia Sposa, added: “We are focusing on contemporary designs and have the opportunity to innovate with ideas and styles which have been developed with help and feedback from customers and our staff.”

There are 18 Mia Sposa stores across England and Wales all offering high-quality, affordable bridal wear and accessories, as well as expert advice and outstanding service. Mia Sposa also had an exclusive bridesmaids’ collection along with a full hire service for the groom and his party.
