Weddings at The West Wing

The West Wing at Ickworth is part of the beautiful Ickworth estate near Bury St Edmunds and is set in 1800 acres of Park and Gardens.  Although it was completed in 1841, the West Wing remained an empty shell until work began to restore the building in 2004.  It is now a unique blend of the past and the present, offering superb facilities for Wedding Ceremonies, Receptions and Civil Partnerships, able to accommodate between 80 and 200 guests.

Weddings can take place on any day of the year with special rates offered during the week.  Our inclusive wedding package includes the use of the Gallery and the Court and also the Orangery and Gardens.  There are many wonderful opportunities for photography including the Temple and Rose Garden and during the warmer months, Reception drinks are served on the Orangery Terrace amongst the lemon trees and agapanthus plants.

The Gallery on the first floor of the West Wing is the location for the main Reception and over looks the beautiful gardens with superb views from all the windows.

We have a dedicated team at Ickworth with many years of experience and we will help with every aspect of planning.  Our Head Chef Ian Howell has designed some new menus for 2010 using local produce where possible.

All events which take place at the West Wing contribute towards the upkeep of this beautiful estate for future generations.
