A MASSIVE congratulations to the winners of our Win a Wedding competition, James Durrant, 26, and Charlotte Townsend,32, of Woodbridge.

I, alongside Tarnia Robertson from Ufford Park Hotel, drew their name at our wedding fair on Sunday.

They were clearly overwhelmed by the news and we wish the pair of them all the best for the future and can’t wait to see the images from their big day, which will be published in B&G Spring 2011.

James entered the competition as a surprise just weeks after proposing to Charlotte (a chemotherapy nurse), with his fiancée being in the dark until they were announced as finalists.

James said: “I feel so lucky, I can’t believe that we’ve won, I never expected it. I can’t put into words how I feel right now.”

A shocked Charlotte said: “I can’t believe this has happened to us. I am so grateful, so happy and excited. It’s like a dream.”

Tarnia said: “Ufford Park would like to say congratulations to Charlotte and James who are worthy winners. What a lovely couple, let’s hope the wedding plans run smoothly and they have a great day.”

PS: The only sad part of the day was seeing the faces of the runners-up. Don’t despair, watch this space for another Win a Wedding competition in 2011!
