WOODHALL MANOR in Sutton, Suffolk, was proud to celebrate its second anniversary this month after re-opening for business in 2008 following an extensive and successful refurbishment period.

The manor, located within nine acres of breathtakingly beautiful landscaped grounds and walled gardens, is a fine example of English heritage being as it is a privately-owned country house originally built in 1566.

Part of the present structure of the building still dates back to this time, and the remainder of the property has been lovingly redecorated to enhance and modernise the features without losing any of its traditional character and charm.  Amongst the many additions, the refurbishment included the full redecoration of all of Woodhall’s 12 en-suite bedrooms to an exceptionally high standard, and every mod con has been installed.

Woodhall Manor is an exclusive venue for weddings and celebrations. It has been designated the prestigious title of Suffolk’s Most Premier Wedding Venue and attracts clients from across the whole of the UK and also from abroad. Since re-opening in July 2008, Woodhall has hosted over two-hundred weddings, each one being a joyously unique and memorable affair. This is not surprising when all that the Manor has to offer is taken into account.

Spectacular bespoke wedding services are planned precisely to fit the requirements of those seeking a dream-come-true countryside wedding ceremony and reception. Menus use fresh, locally sourced ingredients – some of which are grown on-site in the Manor’s very own kitchen gardens – to create the perfect combination of classic and contemporary cuisine to suit all tastes. As with the wedding services, the menus can be customised or newly created to cater for individual needs. Accommodation for wedding guests is available in the 12 refurbished bedrooms, and also in Woodhall Cottage, a stylish and modern two bedroom cottage located adjacent to the Manor house.
