“Wow, that’s amazing!” This is the exclamation which Jean hears time and time again, as future brides and their grooms experience her cakes which both look and taste divine.

Weddings are a major part of Jean’s business, and she never tires of being thrilled to bring a really personal touch to a couple’s big day.

“It’s extraordinary how many people come-up to me just to say that my cakes are amazing – it happens all the time! But the really satisfying thing about all this is when I see a bride after her wedding and she tells me that the cake really made the day,” she said.

As well as looking fabulous, Jean uses the best ingredients and recipes to ensure that each of her cakes taste wonderful too. “I believe passionately that cakes must not only look good, but taste good. I pride myself on creating what I truly believe to be the most light and moist sponge cakes possible. They really are different – many brides and their families have described it as ‘fluffy’! ”

Jean brings a genuinely personal touch to wedding cakes, designing, baking, decorating, delivering and setting-up each cake herself to ensure perfection but most of all, in the time which she will spend with you. She does not limit you in any way – you can see her for as long and visit as frequently as you wish.

At your meeting with Jean she will discuss your ideas, and suggest all sorts of different options, decorations, designs, colour and wedding themes and more. She will then create a mock-up in front of you so that together you have a real vision of your perfect wedding cake – so much better than just looking at photographs and pictures!

Then, decide on the flavour and filling you’d like – from a traditional fruit cake packed densely with plump vine fruits, to a light lemon sponge, made with fresh lemon zest, continental coffee cake or decadent chocolate creation using the finest Belgian chocolate.

Jean can show you lots of different stands, antique bases and cutting knives which you can use to enhance your wedding cake and you can even purchase knives engraved with your names and the date of your wedding and create an heirloom for your family!
