Leiston Abbey is a beautiful historic site dating from 1363, set in the Suffolk countryside only a short drive from the seaside towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold. The beautiful abbey ruins are incorporated into the buildings providing a stunning backdrop for your wedding.

Parts of the ruins and buildings were purchased in the 1970s by Pro Corda, the International Chamber Music Academy, a charity running music courses for children and adults. Today the buildings and facilities at Leiston Abbey are available to hire for functions and events including the benefit of on-site accommodation which is available for up to 60 guests.

The hire of both the Abbey and the Guesten Hall are on an exclusive use basis making your day personal, unique and special to you, and we are delighted to provide a dedicated events co-ordinator to assist with all the planning to enable you to concentrate on enjoying your day. Our experienced catering partner prepares a large range of both traditional and modern menus using the freshest produce possible, all meat is locally sourced and the focus on creating exactly what you require always the aim.

We are proud to provide this stunning and romantic venue for you to enjoy your special day within the beautiful historic Abbey ruins. We are also able to offer bookings for receptions and parties only.
