SUFFOLK is blessed with some beautiful stretches of coastline, which make memorable settings for weddings at all times of the year.
A particular favourite is Felixstowe, where the mixture of shingle and sand beaches, fresh sea air and pastel coloured beach huts lends itself to fabulous wedding photography.
If it’s your dream to marry by the sea, watching the sun set into the horizon over the water, but you can’t afford to break the bank, make an appointment to view The Brook Hotel - just a few minutes walk to Felixstowe’s waterfront.
A family-run hotel, The Brook has everything you need for a modern wedding in a traditional setting and with attractively-priced packages to boot.
While it’s very much of its period from the outside, inside The Brook Hotel has a contemporary and vibrant feel that many couples are drawn to.
The hotel is licensed for civil ceremonies, and can accommodate parties of up to 140 people across its function rooms or restaurant. While outside there’s a pretty patio area that blooms in the spring and summer to bring added colour to your big day.
As an added bonus, The Brook has its own dedicated wedding planner, who works closely with all couples to help organise other services such as flowers and photography if needed, and to ensure the smooth running of their day.
The experienced catering team at the hotel will also work with couples to create a food and drinks package that lives up to their expectations, taking into consideration any dietary requirements or particularly favourite dishes.
There are some set menus available for both food and drink ranging from a simple meal of soup followed by a carvery and fresh fruit salad, to tiger prawns with chilli dipping sauce, beef Wellington and tarte tatin.
Barbecues, finger buffets, cold buffets and even a hot oriental buffet are available too.
At the time of going to press a four course wedding breakfast for 40 guests, with a half bottle of wine per person came in at £999 making the venue very good value for money.
Plus, all weddings at The Brook include free use of the honeymoon suite (complete with luxuries such as a Jacuzzi bath and four poster bed) for the happy couple.
And there are 24 other rooms available for your guests to book for the evening, meaning everyone can enjoy a knees-up and a couple of glasses of wine without having to worry about being taxied home.
All rooms are individually decorated to a high standard and include an en suite, flat screen TV with Freeview and specially selected toiletries.
