Dear Josie: I’ve been doing crunches to tone my stomach but they don’t seem to be doing much. Are there any other exercises I could try to flatten my midriff?
Josie says: There are lots of stomach exercises to tone the midriff however you do need to make sure that you are performing them correctly and often enough to see results.
Don’t just perform crunches over and over again – try wood chops, reverse curls, planks, and standing oblique crunch to mention just a few. If you have stability ball use that – a fun way to exercise! It’s important to keep your back strong and not just work on your stomach muscles.
