DEAR JULIE: I have tried lots of different long-lasting lipsticks but they make my lips dry and flaky after a couple of hours. How can I keep my lipstick on without the chapped look? Can you recommend any brands?

JULIE: I have yet to come across a lipstick that actually stays in place all day without it starting to look dry and bitty.  Try to prepare your lips for the big day in advance by exfoliating them as part of your regular skincare routine and  making sure you keep them hydrated with a lip balm or vaseline.  On the day apply lipstick and blot, then apply a light dusting of powfer to the lips and another coat of lippy.
