IT TAKES skill and speed to capture those precious wedding moments on film -  and one photographer will go to any lengths to get them.

That person is Mark Mann of Frozen Moments photography.

Mark began his career 10 years ago predominantly shooting images for wildlife magazines, and was commissioned by Jane Hughes (a highly respected artist in Colchester), to photograph images to inspire her work, which features in exhibitions across the country

As anyone who’s worked with animals will know, you have to be quick to catch them on camera.

It is this precision and speed at snatching the moment that led Mark into the world of wedding photography three years ago, setting up a studio in Ipswich.

Mark said: “I’ve been experienced for the past 10 years and I know how to get the best out of a situation and make the maximum impact.

“You have a vision in your mind of an image and have to capture it in a second. It’s about freezing that second to leave an impression that lasts a lifetime.”

Lots of Mark’s business comes via recommendations, with at least 20 weddings having been covered by the photographer via word of mouth or upon couples having seen his work at the events of friends or family.

Mark describes his photographs as modern, funky and reportage style images, and he’ll go to any lengths to get the pictures he needs, even citing that at a recent wedding at Woodhall Manor he unwittingly somersaulted or rolled to get a picture in time – now that shows dedication.

This dedication shows in Marks pictures, which are fun, natural and full of emotion.

Frozen Moments offers three packages to its couples.

The Silver package (£750) includes Mark for four hours, covering the bride leaving home to the first dance, an Italian storybook, two 14ins by 11ins prints and a 16ins by 12ins print.

The Gold package (£1,300) includes a pre-wedding shoot, six hours of Mark’s time, an Italian storybook, three 14ins by 11ins prints and a 12ins by 18ins print.

The Platinum packaged (£1,500) includes all day coverage including the evening, an Italian storybook, five 14ins by 11ins print and a 23ins by 16.5ins print.

All of the packages include the beautiful coffee table Italian-style wedding book, which is designed by Mark in his studio.

There is another option to upgrade the package to the Platinum Italian Wedding Book. These books are designed by Mark and then hand-crafted in Italy and presented to the bride and groom in a leather case.

The price for an upgrade starts at £750.
