Q: I know that on my wedding day I am going to be very emotional and I am worried about my eye make-up running down my face. Please can you give me some ideas?

A: First of all, waterproof mascara is a must. If I have a bride who is very emotional and knows that she is going to cry a lot, sometimes I’ll leave the under eye area free from eyeshadows and lienrs, and I keep all the drama on the upper part of the eye.

Keep the eyeshadows on the eyelid fresh and pretty and apply eyeliner to the top lashline.

I would recommend using a shadow linter or a gel liner as these have more staying power than a regular eyeliner pencil and remember if you do cry don’t rub your eyes – gently catch the tear with a tissue.
