Welcome to the Food and Drink Awards 2010
As we head into our fifth year of hosting these great awards, we are as delighted as ever to be championing the wealth of local food and drink organisations in our county – whether it be the local pub, a favourite restaurant, or the farm down the road who grows the most fantastic produce…..
As the awards have grown in both number and stature since their conception in 2006, we have seen a great change in the way that people approach their food. Knowledge is ever-increasing on the source of food, and younger generations are becoming more aware of the importance and benefits of preparing and enjoying locally sourced foods.
Our objective hasn’t changed – to recognise and celebrate the county’s finest and leading purveyors in this ever-growing (and changing) industry. We are extremely lucky in this area, to have in our midst some of the most dedicated and hard-working producers, retailers and suppliers, who are passionate as we are about what they do.
With our twelve categories for 2010 covering a broad range of this diverse industry, please support these awards and make them work for you. Details of each category can be found here – either enter yourself or tell us your suggestions and we’ll encourage your nomination to enter.
We would like to extend our thanks once again to leading Suffolk brewery, Adnams, who have been supporting the awards since the beginning. We would also like to thank our category sponsors – Promotion Wine, The West Wing at Ickworth, Tastes of Anglia, BBC Suffolk, Waitrose Saxmundham & Colchester and Marriages the Master Millers.
All of the information you need is included on this site, but if you have any queries or would like to know more, please do not hesitate to contact us.
